MICHAEL TANTON

CO-POST-PRODUCTION SUPERVISOR, EDITOR

Director of the short, Communist Mummies From Mars (Best Comedy, “Emerging,” Playr Video Festival 2015, Newmarket, Ontario), Director/Writer of the documentary, The Dying Breed (2014), and Director/Writer/Editor of the short, Fourth Base (2012), Michael loves films and filmmaking and has an obsessive desire to master all areas of the craft.

His background includes Toronto-based positions as Visual Effects Coordinator on seasons 2 and 3 of the TV series Penny Dreadful with Mr. X, Video Editor, Graphics Designer and Technician with Working Proof Studios, and Editor on several ads and promos for OLG, The Hive, The Canadian Cancer Society, and Orange Mobile/Jam 3.

He is also the Director/Editor, Owner-Operator of his own TantonFilm Media Company.

Michael earned a Film Studies diploma from Fanshawe College (London, Ontario) and a Bachelor Degree in Film and Media from Humber College (Toronto).
